Tax Intern
We are looking for a Full-time Tax Intern to start in January 2025 and work with us through April 15, 2025.

TKW has been providing peace of mind to our clients since 1987, specializing in assurance and tax services for companies, individuals, and governmental entities throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are a mid-size firm located in Portland, Oregon.

Our people are smart and industrious, and care for our clients and each other. Your presence in our office location would be required in order to help you gain the most from this internship.
You will:

Prepare a combination of individual, passthrough, corporate business, trust, and state income tax returns.

Prepare personal property tax returns and other non-income tax returns.

Work with other tax team members on engagements to provide quality products for clients.

Attend trainings to develop an understanding of the tax law to better serve our clients.
You also have:

A desire to learn about the public accounting profession. Little or no public accounting experience is acceptable.

The ability to work 40 hours a week. Hours may be flexible, depending on busy season scheduling.

A positive outlook when working with a variety of what may be unfamiliar software programs, including CaseWare Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax (online version of ProSystem), GoFileRoom, and Microsoft Office products.

A positive attitude in all communications and situations.

The ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments.

The ability to thrive in high pressure situations and environments while successfully meeting deadlines.

Excellent customer service, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
