Audit Manager

You are about to spend at least a third of your day at your next job. What experiences will be important to you?

• To collaborate with other members of your team?
• To learn continuously from leaders you respect?
• To produce high-quality work that makes clients happy?
• To have time to balance work responsibilities with other aspects of your life, such as family, community and yourself?
• To meet new people who share your interests?

These are just some of the qualities we experience at TKW while pursuing our passion for accounting. Whether we are auditing financial statements, preparing taxes or helping clients problem-solve, we are members of a team that takes pride in exceeding expectations and believes in having freedom of choice in exchange for accountability.

We are looking for people who want to help us grow our team and our business. Could you be our next new hire?

Our Firm
TKW has been providing peace of mind to our clients since 1987, specializing in assurance and tax services for companies, individuals, and governmental entities throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are a mid-size firm located in Portland, Oregon.

You
Our Audit Managers coordinate audit engagements, working with their teams to complete high-quality audits that meet or exceed client expectations, while keeping the Audit Partners up to date on progress and recommending solutions to address any challenges. Audit Managers are expected to foster professional relationships with clients and stay current on their businesses and industries to assist with accounting and business issues. They also mentor Audit Seniors and Audit Associates to help them develop their skills and achieve their career goals. Travel will be mostly within the Portland area, with additional opportunities to visit clients and attend trainings and conferences in locations farther away.

We prefer candidates to have at least four years of current or recent audit experience in public accounting, and who have an active CPA license. Having a municipal auditor's license is a plus.

Besides technical abilities, we look for people who:

• Care about others, including co-workers, clients, and their community.
• Pay attention to details, are self-starters, manage people and projects well, solve problems independently but also ask for help when needed.
• Have emotional intelligence, communicating appropriately with clients during client engagements and mentoring staff throughout the year.
• Acknowledge that hard work is a known facet of a public accounting career but believe that solving problems and giving strategic business recommendations makes it all worth it.
• Are located in the Portland metro area or plan to move to our beautiful city upon accepting the job offer. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide employment sponsorships at this time.

We offer all the benefits you'd expect, including health and retirement benefits, PTO and a competitive salary. There's also free parking, minimal travel...and did we mention the snack cubicle?! And we're not all work and no play. You can get involved in organized social events and philanthropic opportunities during the year, along with fun team activities and company-provided meals during busier times of the year.

Once we receive your application, we'll forward it to the appropriate hiring team, who will make sure they have everything they need to review your qualifications. We will reach out to acknowledge receipt of your materials, and if we are able to move forward to the next stage of the hiring process, we will contact you as soon as possible to set up a virtual or in-person interview.

Thank you for your interest in TKW and this position. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

If we should talk, please click "Apply Now" to fill out our employment application.
There will be a place in the form to upload your cover letter and resume, so be sure to have that ready.
