Tax Intern
We are looking for our next full-time Tax Intern to start in January 2024 and work with us through April 2024.
We are a boutique public accounting firm located in beautiful Portland, Oregon. We have been providing peace of mind to our clients since 1987, specializing in assurance and tax services, including tax return preparation, audits, reviews, AUPs, attestations and advisory work for corporations, individuals, not-for-profits and governmental entities. Our firm has successfully created a balanced, family-like atmosphere and it is imperative we not only find the right technician, but also the right candidate who will promote our culture.

Our people are smart and industrious, and care for our clients and each other. Your presence in our office location would be required, in order to help you gain the most from this internship.
You will:

Prepare a combination of some individual, passthrough, corporate business, trust, and state income tax returns;

Prepare personal property tax returns and other non-income tax returns;

Work with other tax team members on engagements to provide quality products for clients; and

Attend trainings to develop an understanding of the tax law to better serve our clients.
You also have:

A desire to learn about the public accounting profession. Little or no public accounting experience is acceptable;

The ability to work 40 hours a week . Hours may be flexible, depending on busy season scheduling;

A 3.25 minimum cumulative GPA

A positive outlook when working with a variety of what may be unfamiliar software programs, including CaseWare Engagement, ProSystems Fx, GoFileRoom, and Microsoft Office products ;

A positive attitude in all communications and situations;

The ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments;

The ability to thrive in high pressure situations and environments while successfully meeting deadlines;

High attention to detail; and

Excellent customer service, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
