Audit Manager

We are looking for our next Audit Manager to join the assurance team.

We are a boutique public accounting firm located in Tigard, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. We have been providing peace of mind to our clients since 1987, specializing in assurance and tax services, including audits, reviews, AUPs, tax return preparation, attestations and advisory work for corporations, individuals, not-for-profits and governmental entities.

Our Audit Managers coordinate audit engagements, working with the team to complete high-quality engagements that meet or exceed client expectations, while keeping the Audit Partners up to date on progress and recommending solutions to address any challenges. Audit Managers are expected to foster professional relationships with clients and stay current on their businesses and industries to assist them with accounting and business issues. They also mentor audit staff members to help them develop their skills and achieve their career goals. Travel will be mostly within the Portland area, with additional opportunities to visit clients in other parts of Oregon and Washington and attend trainings and conferences.

  • Want to work with people who care about their co-workers and clients and strive to achieve a work-life balance within the rigors of our seasonal business cycle;

  • Are a fast learner and self-starter who pays attention to details, manages people and projects well, and asks for help when needed;

  • Are willing to mentor others during client engagements and enjoy giving back to the community when the opportunity presents itself; and

  • Acknowledge that hard work and long hours are a known facet of a public accounting career but believe that solving problems and giving strategic business recommendations makes it all worth it.

  • Are located in the Portland metro area or plan to move to Portland upon accepting the job offer.  This job is currently hybrid - part in-person, part remote.

You also have:
  • At least four years of current or recent audit experience in public accounting;

  • An active CPA license; and

  • Demonstrated initiative, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a strong team ethic.

We offer all the benefits you expect, including the opportunity to work with well-respected clients, a competitive salary, health and retirement benefits, generous time off, professional training, free parking, minimal travel, team activities and frequent company-sponsored meals to enjoy when the workload ramps up.
